Capturing a dog's essence in a drawing -- whether it's in a quirky smile or mischievous eyes or a fur cowlick - is a passion of mine. Getting the details right and being creative with the colors balances the engineer and the artist in me. It's fun and I love it!
I never dreamed that when I started drawing pet portraits of people's beloved friends that I would feel so connected to their (dog's) stories. It's very special to be a part of your birthday gifts or memorials or holidays. Each story is different and deeply personal.
